Reviews for Pure South Restaurant & Bar
Pure Steak

Pure South in Southbank specialises in celebrating fine food from Tasmania and with its prime river-front location it made a great choice to take a couple of guests from Japan last week.
They wanted to try good Australian beef and Pure South has a page of the menu especially reserved for that. A range of cuts, sauces and extras make it a customisable kind of menu and the steak was great. Others also tried the Roast Lamb which was also a hit.
This isn't a cheap restaurant, and I get a little suspicious of places that trade on their location (you're paying for the view) but the food is high quality with a good wine list and the service was great.
When one of our Japanese guests stood up at the head of the table to sing "Danny Boy' (of all things) in full voice, it was time to go!
