Horrible! Bad service, bad food...really bad food actually. We will not be back there ever.

I think our food was last months leftovers and we waited 1 1/2 hours for it! Horrible!

I've never been to a mexican restaurant with no sangria on the menu until we made the mistake of going to "The Mex"

I've given everything one star as there is no options for a negative star, consider the one star a negaitive.

Not so sure about The Mex

When we last ate at The Mex we were stuck out the back in a closed-in verandah in what's obviously the room they put people with kids. While they gave our son colouring pencils and a page to colour in, every single pencil was broken or blunt. The food was tasty enough but enormous portions - way too much food on the plate. The waiting staff forgot TWICE about our drink re-order. Once they finally remembered, it was too late as we'd already finished our meals. A lot of food left over, such a waste. This is not America where the name of the game is to "super-size" everything.

Gotta love the Mex.

A longtime mainstay of the Ocean Grove "eating out" population, the Mex is great for when you have that urge for anything and everything Mexican. Cool decore featuring everything from Chillies to Corn Cobs to Sombreros to Marraccas, there's even an open fire in the centre of the restaurant.

Food's always good, service can be a little slow, and sometimes they tend to forget items (I suspect that they have a high turnover of staff which means you have a good chance of being served by a trainee).

They have a good deal where if you get in for dinner early, and get out even earlier, there are some very good discounts to be had. Good children's menu, and even colouring in sheets!

Good range of beers - a number of Mexican beers the names of which currently escape me, and a good variety of other beers as well, both imports and Aussie.
